Modern  Public  School  has added another feather to its cap of success after  receiving World Cleanliness Award presented on the occasion of World Cleanliness Convention 2016 given at  India International  Centre, New  Delhi on December 13 to mark the outstanding  contribution of the school rendered in the specialized areas related to cleanliness , hygiene  and sanitation education.  The theme of convention focused on CLEAN UP THE EARTH (CUTE) with the ideology catch them young. The chief guest of the day was Nepal Ambassador His Excellency Deep Kumar Upadhayay, a man with manifold traits-a Parliamentarian, a social worker, activist and Educationalist of Nepal. The function was presided by Dr. Ranjan Trivedi. It also witnessed participation of Chancellors, Vice Chancellors, Principals of various universities and schools across India. The convention helped in understanding the various problems the country is facing due to lack of cleanliness and motivated young and adult towards exhibiting a responsible and environment sensitive attitude in future.

Paving its way towards Atal tinkering lab

Exhibiting their talent and spreading the fame across India, Modernites  once again excelled by adding another feather in their prestigious cap of achievements by being one of the proud receipients of grant of Rs. 20 lakhs from NITI Aayog’s  Atal tinkering mission for setting of Atal Tinkering Lab in school amongst 257 schools out of 13753 across India. This will initiate the establishment of Atal tinkering lab in school wherein the students will get a wonderful opportunity to explore and discover their scientific acumen by performing experiments.  Modernites  reached this pinnacle of success by presenting their innovative ideas in front of embellished scientists and professors. It was indeed an uphill task to compete with so many schools across India.

Madam Principal Mrs. Alka Kapur conferred with prestigious Humanity Excellence Award 2016

Madam Principal was conferred with prestigious Humanity Excellence Award 2016 on 19 November 2016 by We Welfare Society at India Islamic Cultural Centre, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi for her exemplary benevolent and altruistic acts for the society. Madam has always ensured that every action of hers contribute in instilling faith and imparting nobler values of life in her students. Through her noble ventures like association with Rotary Club, Roti bank, Old age Homes and many more, she has always been trying to add hues to the lives of the underprivileged section of the society. She firmly believes that it is must to associate the youth in such pious endeavours to raise individuals to the highest level of strength and felicity with spiritual, ethical and eternal values of personality development and human excellence.

Not only has her contribution been recognized and felicitated time and again, her commitment in the field of education and social welfare has given concrete shape directly to education policies and welfare programmes . MPS fraternity is proud and blessed to work under the tutelage of a mentor like her.

Academic brilliance awarded at SBIT

Karan Keswani and Piyush Kumar of class XII secured second position in annual Inter School Quiz competition Quiz Whizz 2016 organized by SBIT, College of Technology in association with Montfort School, Ashok Vihar. The competition witnessed the participation of more than 8000 students from different reputed schools in Delhi/NCR. They were awarded with a Micro Max Tab and a gift hamper by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, honourable Union Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Govt of India.

A Visionary Educationist awarded at House of Lords

Ms Alka Kapur, Principal Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh Delhi has been conferred with the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Samman Award on 30 September 2016 by NRI Welfare Society in Global Indian Summit held at House of Lords, London, UK in recognition of her outstanding services, achievements and contributions in the field of quality Education. She is one amongst the 30 proud Indians all over the globe to have received this honour.

Ms. Alka Kapur is an icon in the world of education. Her contribution for the growth of quality education and social welfare is highly commendable. C fore , a multidisciplinary research organization, headed by

Mr. Premchand Palety , is known for its deeper insight  in the research work for  Educational Excellence, Corporate World and other facets worldwide. Also  C fore has been conducting surveys for past 14 years, the findings of which have been published in different magazines, newspapers and telecast by different news channels .

During the rigorous and extensive research of the past four months, 10,301 parents, principals, teachers and senior school students in 28 cities countrywide, were interviewed by 140  C fore field personnel and persuaded them to rate schools in their region on a ten-point scale across 14 parameters of education excellence.

It is a matter of immense pride that Modern Public School has earned plaudits as Education World Top India School Ranking 2016  ranked the school  with

ALL INDIA RANK  82  , STATE RANK 39 and CITY RANK 31.

Appreciation by UNESCO

The school was awarded with the Certificate of Gratitude for the splendid support in conduction of the International Festival Children are painting the world, Asia  2015-16. By more than 7000 participants across Asia Pacific Region participated in this global event to motivate artisans and arty crafty work at International Platforms.

It is a matter of immense gratification that Sugandh Kokkar class XI received Certificate for Appreciation for her outstanding expressions in the art of galore.

Hardwork Honoured

Under the dynamic leadership of our enterprising Madam Principal Ms. Alka Kapur 5 students along with 3 teachers received the award for ‘Clean School of Year Award’ on the occasion of world youth skill day, It was organized by National Institute of Cleanliness Education and Research on July 15, 2016 at Lodhi Road. It was surveyed that out of 3000 schools only 30 privileged schools were selected in this nationwide campaign. The programme commenced with a formal speech by Dr. P R Trivedi followed by the felicitation of the dignitaries present in the august gathering. The galaxy of experts aired their thoughts to search one’s soul and evolve with innovative ways towards a cleaner society. The cohesive and wholesome treated ended up with an urge to support this drive for the development of the world.
